8 Tips for a Successful Black Friday

It's that time of year again; where everyone acts a fool over that flat screen TV. Just like my mother, many people think that Black Friday is a scam. Well it can be if you're not prepared. They are some good deals out there. You just have to know how to finesse it. To make sure you're getting the best out of all the madness, follow these tips below:

1. Compare Stores
Most stores start their Black Friday promotions as early as the week before. Heck, they start promo as soon as it hits November. Therefore, compare the prices of the items you want on a regular day to the "deals" they're offering for the big sale. You just might find you're not really getting the greatest deal.

2. Create a Wishlist
With that said, know what you want in advance! You'll save so much time and avoid the crazies (for the most part). The goal is to get in and get out.

3. Bring Friends
You should especially bring the friends who don't plan on buying anything or if they are you can help each other out. It's like your own tag team; divide the list between the group and split, have someone stay in line when you're almost done. This may sound a bit much but I'm pretty sure it'll work.

4. Charge It
You do not want to be the annoying person who holds up the cashier because you're fumbling with change. Handing over a debit/credit card is so much easier. Also, look into the store credit cards you have. There might be specific deals if you use them that could save you more money.

5. Save the Receipt
You may notice that some stores lower their prices after Black Friday. Get familiar with the store's return police. You might be able to do a price match and get some money back if you discover the same item you bought is now at a lower price.

6. Bookmark
For those only partaking in Cyber Monday, the easiest thing to do would be to bookmark everything you have your eye on so you quickly place them in the cart for checkout. Depending on the site, you can place your items in the cart the night before and find it still in there the next day. All you have to do is click checkout!

7. Get Coupon Codes
In addition to that, now is the time to go through your favorite YouTuber's channel and gather all the coupon codes from the brands they partner with especially makeup lovers.

8. Set a Budget
It is important to not get caught up in the hype and set a budget. You don't want to dread checking your bank account the next day.

So when you go shopping this Friday your goals are:
  • save time
  • save money
  • get the things you really want
